Michael is the sales & use tax practice leader at GMG and has over 20 years of experience in tax recovery and audit defense projects for clients in all industries including electric utility, oil & gas, retail and technology companies.

Prior to returning to GMG as a Partner in the SF office, Michael held roles as Principal Manager – State and Local Tax Planning at Southern California Edison in Los Angeles and Tax Counsel – Excise Tax at Chevron in the Bay Area.

Michael is a member of the New York State Bar, received his B.A. in Politics from Fairfield University, his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law and his M.B.A. from Georgia Tech where he was awarded a fellowship to attend tuition-free.
